Yesterday was our quarterly office staff meeting. We host these to make sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes, while taking the opportunity to collaborate between departments. Our IT department also gives us refresher training on the dangers of phishing attempts and how to report them, because keeping our clients' information safe is of the utmost importance to us. Our CFO, Colene also updates the staff on changes within operations, growth of the company, and current business strategies to ensure we're all on the same page. We recently had the privilege of hosting an auction for Hollywood icon William Shatner right here in Northeast Ohio. It was a fantastic event that showcased the power of auctions in benefiting multiple parties. Auctions like this one not only offer a platform for esteemed individuals like Mr. Shatner to connect with their fans and share pieces of their legacy but also serve as a powerful fundraising tool. A portion of the proceeds from the auction was generously donated to charity. My wife, Maureen and I volunteered with our two youngest daughters to pack meals for the organization Feed My Starving Children. There were more than 100 people who joined together on the first shift, and 5 more shifts followed within the next few days. Altogether, we filled 86,200 bags of rice, vegetables, and vitamins to feed over 300 children a year in Africa. This is something my wife and I could've done alone, but we choose to include our daughters to show them the importance of helping others. The girls were thrilled to participate, and it was a joy to see them be so enthusiastic about an amazing cause.
